Finally checked in we entered a room with a balcony and a spectacular view of the Colorado River and boat dock. When we asked a second time what membership entailed, we were told a $10.00 credit would be placed on our cards in a few hours when they were activated. Despite the fact that we were her only customers, she was very brusque with us - almost shooing us away. We asked the clerk in the 'Club' room about membership. The casino hosted a large number of slot machines (most $1.00) and an empty poker room. The pool area looked inviting, but since we were not officially checked it we were not allowed past the guarded gate. The buffet was closed and the snack bar looked like something you might find at a swap meet. After lugging our bags back to our vehicle we decided to scope out the hotel. The check-in clerk told us to check back every half hour until it was - that the posted check-in time was a suggestion, not a guarantee. We arrived about a 1/2 hour early and were told that our room was not ready. We were looking for a place midway between Las Vegas and Phoenix and booked a night at the Blue Water Resort. Add to that the generous pours at the two bars, and live entertainment, a three story, indoor water slide for the kiddies (with a nice pool and spa for the adults) and the adjacent movie and arcade.as well as it's super convenient location just minutes from all the new shopping in Parker, AZ, and you've got one heck of a bang for your buck.

There's also a grille, which is like a nice Denny's, and the Buffet, which is great for large, hungry groups in a hurry. My favorite it the steakhouse (ask for Dale to be your server - this guy is TOPS! Beats the pants off the service at our local Morton's) and their food is not only excellent, but comes at a great price. For an indian casino, the tables and slots have a pretyt liberal payout (many of us have left there after a long weekend with huge smiles on our faces from Lady Luck smiling down on our visit) and there's three restaurant's in house to cover your grumbling tummies. The entire hotel was updated last year, so it's in great shape. The rooms are always clean, nicely appointed, and contrary to the other review, you cannot hear through the walls easily. Site security is on top of things and in 5 years, we've only suffered one breech. All rooms have a beautiful view of the Colorado River, and allow our contingency of national and international racers LOVE this venue as it's not only warm and welcoming, but the race site is a short and convenient 100 yard walk to the water's edge. Each year the American Power Boat Association books a large block of rooms for the Nation Tour Stop (jet ski races) held there in May.
